Challenge:
Eastbay was informed of the USPS Emerging Technologies promotion that saves them 2% on all shipping costs. To qualify for the promotion, Eastbay had to include an emerging technology into their monthly catalog. It was our job to create and implement the technology to qualify Eastbay for this promotion.
Solution:
Over the 6 month lifespan of this promotion, we created 9 different augmented reality experiences for the Eastbay and Team Sales catalogs. By participating, Eastbay saved over $80,000 in shipping costs and enjoyed over 150,000 unique sessions of customers using the AR experiences. Since the promotion has ended Eastbay has continued to include this technology into every catalog they distribute. Eastbay has also allocated ad money in promoting these experiences digitally, resulting in over 9 million views.
