Challenge:

Champs Sports requested the creation of an “out of home” (OOH) marketing campaign using outdoor video projections. It would be used over Black Friday weekend at 3 different locations in both downtown LA and downtown NYC. Champs asked for the creative to incorporate an experiential aspect to accompany the projected video.

Solution:

For the content of the projection, we created a Champs Sports branded 3D animation. The experiential aspect of the campaign was created with Snapchat’s augmented reality platform. Utilizing the newly released “marker” augmented reality technology, the OOH Snapchat AR lens was programmed in a manner that the AR effects were synchronized with the video. We chose Snapchat as the AR platform by analyzing our target demographics preferences and the customer data provided by Champs. We partnered with National Experiential and used their video projection resources to broadcast the experience in both cities. We created the entire campaign and executed in less than 4 weeks.
